Photographer Christina Parisse of Parisse Portraits loves to capture moments for her clients that portray who they are and/or their love for each other. She also has a knack for documenting the beauty of nature and all things Kansas City. She has been a professional photographer for over five years—specializing in weddings, families, engagements, and lifestyle sessions. She likes to describe her style as “light, bright, and airy.”
“Life is comprised of so many beautiful moments, and I’m constantly amazed at how quickly time is flying by,” Parisse says. “This is why I love what I do. I can freeze some of those moments that you might otherwise forget for my clients and their families.”
Her fave pic? She narrowed it down to a stunning fall-flavored wedding photo complete with a gorgeous sunset and plenty of autumnal pumpkins. Also, did we mention pumpkins?
“My favorite photo I’ve snapped would definitely be from this particular wedding. Some of my favorite things are sun flares, pumpkins, rustic scenery, and a couple with great chemistry and love for each other. This photo encompasses all of that and was taken at the beautiful Red Barn Farm in Weston, Missouri. My favorite photos I take are those where my subjects are not looking at me. I like to be more of an observer—shooting from a distance.
I feel like this photo really sums up the beautiful day and season we were experiencing. I knew right away it was going to be a gorgeously composed shot. Sometimes I get a little giddy when my creative juices start flowing, but this bride and groom were so laid back—and up for anything. I also knew the bride loved all the pumpkins and wanted to incorporate them somehow. We were walking to the other side of the farm when I asked them if they wouldn’t mind stopping really quickly for one shot. They loved the picture.”
