Irreverent T-shirts are the spice of life, are they not? Imagine our glee when we stumbled across a local line of snarky apparel created by Stacy Dalton of KC Shirts.com. Her zingy slogans run the gamut from classy to sassy with the occasional swear word thrown in for good measure. (No big whoop.)
Dalton’s elaborate line of tees and hoodies can be found at a bevy of shops across the metro. Owner Kristina Gann-Albright of ShananiGanns Boutique in Shawnee, says Dalton’s shirts “fly off the shelves.” That’s high praise coming from Gann-Albright, whose store offers wares from 38 local vendors. “Stacy is the most down-to-earth individual there is.”
It took us a hot minute to check out all of Dalton’s quirky quips. Some made us snort-laugh, others made us blush. There’s seemingly nothing off-limits for Dalton. Hands-down our favorite? Her “I wasn’t planning on getting out of the car” shirt. Ha-larious. (We’ve all been there, yes?)
Dalton, meanwhile, says she loves the challenge of coming up with the perfect anecdote. “How do we get the right gear printed with the right art in front of the correct audience at the right time,” she says. “One of my favorite things to do is interact with customers I see in our shirts. I ask them what they think of the shirt, what made them buy it and most importantly, why do they enjoy wearing it?”
Available in a variety of sizes and colors, prices for Dalton’s T-shirts, ¾ shirts and hoodies range from $23-$38.
