Comida, a World Tour of Latin Flavor

Comida is Kansas City’s first Culinary Arts event that showcases the cuisines of Latin America, Brazil, & Spain. The event includes visiting celebrity chefs, local chefs, restaurateurs, and cutting edge mixologists.

The Greater KC Hispanic Collaborative has been closely monitoring the ongoing Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak. It is still unclear how severe this outbreak will be. Given this uncertainty, Greater KC Hispanic Collaborative is taking proactive steps to help ensure the health and safety of our committee members, sponsors and our community at large. It is with much disappointment we have made the difficult decision to postpone our premier event COMIDAKC, scheduled for Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Union Station. We are working with Union Station to reschedule the event for a later date.

The COMIDAKC event supports student scholarships and programs and much of these funds come from your sponsorships, ticket sales, general donations and the auction that takes place on the night of the event. We will, of course, offer refunds, but hope you will consider these students who are continuing their education and are still in need of scholarship and programming assistance.

Please look for a new announcement soon with the new date for COMIDAKC HERE.

Comida educates the community about the diversity and variety of Latin cultures through unique cuisines, specialty cocktails, visual and performing arts.

Event proceeds benefit the educational programs of the Greater Kansas City Hispanic Collaborative (GKCHC), a 501c3 organization.

Comida attracts over 800 guests including community leaders, professionals, and corporate sponsors from the Greater Kansas City region.
