Croissants, cinnamon rolls, and scones, oh my! Fox & Bull Baking Co. has gone from a pandemic pop-up to a permanent bakery that opened in August in a handsome dark gray building south of the city on Grandview Road. Christopher Fox Wilson and Daniel Toro (Spanish for bull) used their names as the inspiration for their new business, with Wilson, who has always loved to bake, serving as the head pastry chef and Toro managing the business side of the partnership. The two got their start during the pandemic selling pastries to local coffeehouses, which they will continue to do in addition to serving hot coffee, egg-and-cheese breakfast sandwiches on house-made brioche buns, lemon- and blueberry-filled doughnuts, house-made pop-tarts, cookies, and freshly baked sourdough bread at their new location. Fox & Bull is open Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and closed Sunday and Monday.
