Jewish Family Services has been providing essential human services to the population of Kansas City since 1901. Outreach and programming from JFS touches more than 10,000 people annually, more than half of whom are not Jewish. This holiday season, JFS is providing more than 300 families with gifts through their Hannukah Holiday Project.
Throughout its history, JFS has been dedicated to serving the needs of the community, regardless of race or religion. The breadth of services offered at JFS, including KesherKC, Older Adult Services, Mental Health and Education, and Jewish Life are all focused on helping people in difficult times get back on their feet.
Hanukkah begins at sundown on December 7, but the Hanukkah Holiday Project has already begun. On November 29, volunteers will gather at the Jewish Community Center for a Hanukkah Wrapping Party. The donated and freshly wrapped gifts will be delivered to home-bound clients on December 4 and 5.
