It’s becoming crystal clear, year after year, that there’s no place like Legends Outlets for the holidays. With its breadth of retailers and holiday events, you might not need to go anywhere else during the holiday season.

From the Legendary Tree Lighting to Black Friday and beyond, here’s what’s in store at Legends Outlets this holiday season.

Legendary Tree Lighting: The Event of the Season

It all starts with the Legendary Tree Lighting on November 16.

It’s a spellbinding evening for kids of all ages. Everyone gets a cup of hot chocolate, and the big kids can grab a wintry cocktail or beer from the mobile bar. Before the tree even lights up the night, there will be balloon art, live performances, and prizes.

Of the thousands in attendance, you’ll see a few local celebrities, including KC Wolf and Monty the Monarch—who will inevitably have a dance-off—and Santa Claus himself. (The big guy will be posing for pictures for free!) FOX 4 Chief Meteorologist Joe Lauria is back as emcee.

Then, of course, the main event of the evening, when the Christmas tree comes alight.

“When they turn the lights on, there’s just a huge gasp that happens in the crowd,” says Shannon O’Brien, a spokesperson for Legends Outlets. “The tree is huge, and the lights are synchronized with music. The tree is really a showpiece. It’s really neat!”

“There’s so much energy. All the kids are happy, and the families get to spend great time together. There are some events around the holidays where you really feel the Christmas spirit and you feel like, ‘Oh my gosh, Christmas is coming,’ and this is definitely one of them.”

“It’s the event of the season, truly.”

Santa’s Mail Station

A favorite for the kiddos, of course, is Santa’s Mail Station. It opens the day of the Legendary Tree Lighting.

Right across from the entrance to AMC, you’ll see a big ol’ mailbox. Drop a letter to Santa in there by December 18, and it’ll get shipped right to the big guy. Even better, if you include a return address, Santa will write back!

“The kids love it,” says O’Brien. “We get families coming back year after year for this tradition.”

Black Friday and Holiday Shopping: Skip the Frenzy

Just a couple of weeks later, the tree gleaming all the while, deep discounts start popping up on store shelves.

Legends Outlets has several designer and area-exclusive clothing stores, including BOSS, Tory Burch, and Kate Spade; a host of department store favorites, like HomeGoods and Target; plus electronics, clothing, shoes, and accessories at just about every price point.

It all starts with Black Friday. O’Brien notes that while Legends Outlets draws a lot of shoppers the day after Thanksgiving, space isn’t an issue.

“You can kind of skip the frenzy of having to wait for hours in line to go to one place,” says O’Brien. “There are so many options here. If you want sneakers, we have ADIDAS, we have CONVERSE. If you want women’s clothing, we have endless options. Same with men’s clothing.”

During Christmas, the retailers at Legends Outlets cut their prices up to 75 percent. With Legends Outlets VIP SAVINGS, shoppers can save even more. And during Black Friday weekend, Legends Outlets will be giving away thousands of dollars in gift cards. Shoppers will be given a special keyword to text in for the chance to win.

12 Days of Giveaways

The 12 Days of Giveaways are back in 2024. Talk about not needing to leave the property—this is something you can do this holiday season without leaving your house.

Every other day in December until Christmas, Legends Outlets will give away something special on their Instagram account.

“People love the giveaways,” O’Brien says. “They are things that you can give as gifts or keep for yourself. Maybe some things that seem indulgent to buy for yourself when you’re buying so much for other people, like a Vera Bradley duffle bag or something from Kate Spade.”

Previous giveaways have included a $300 Legends Outlets shopping spree, Vera Bradley packing essentials, a full-sized Tory Burch tote, workout classes, and various beauty products from Sephora.

Have a Legendary Holiday Season

Holidays, at their core, are about memories. You remember that tree lighting and how it lit up the face of someone you love. You remember when your special someone opens your gift and smiles; you remember the big moments and the small. This season, Legends Outlets offers plenty of both.
