Minds in Motion Tour: A Look at Power – Royalty, Wealth, and Women at The Nelson
December 5 @ 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM CST
Let’s travel to 17th century France to learn what a king in armor, a general on horseback and some rich and beautiful women can tell us about being powerful. We’ll peek into the lives of the rich and powerful (well, some were famous, too) in 17th Century France to learn how their power is expressed in the art of the time.
The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, in partnership with the KU Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and Alzheimer’s Association-Heart of America Chapter, provides free gallery tours for people with memory loss and their care partners. Come explore art at the museum with specially trained docents sensitive to the interests and abilities of our visitors.
