Early sundown got you down? We feel you. We’re happy to report, though, that there are delights in sight. It all starts this weekend. Let’s talk about it.
Ho-Ho-Ho at The House
Nov. 22-23
The House, a little bar in a little house in Westwood, is decorated for the holidays until Dec. 28. It’s open Thursdays through Saturdays, and it’s delightful. It has a front yard, a front porch, a dining room, and a living room, and there are special holiday cocktails on the menu.

Holiday Reflections
Nov. 22-24
Union Station’s Grand Hall will be decked out in lights once again this year, and it’s a heck of a sight. Holiday Reflections is a lit-up wonderland safe from the cold. There’s a VR ride on Santa’s sleigh, a miniature Christmas village set up by volunteers, and massive displays. Tickets are $10, or $8 for members on Mondays.
Kansas City Holiday Boutique
Nov. 22-24
Hear us out: You can get your shopping done in one go—and enjoy doing it—at the Kansas City Holiday Boutique.
For four days (this event actually starts on Thursday), the Overland Park Convention Center will be filled with everything a holiday shopper needs, including places to relax. So there will be vendors and pre-decorated trees, yes; but also shopper relaxation lounges, festive entertainment, and a boutique cafe.
2024 NWSL Championship
Nov. 23
The Kansas City Current fell 3-2 to the Orlando Pride on Sunday, which means we won’t get to watch them compete for the NWSL Championship. We will, however, still get to witness the NWSL Championship match at CPKC Stadium. It’s the Pride vs. the Washington Spirit on Saturday night at 7 p.m., and tickets are still available.
Oddities and Curiosities Expo
Nov. 23-24
A caravan of oddities unloads into Bartle Hall at the Kansas City Convention Center this Saturday and Sunday. You’ll see vendors vending anything: We’re talking taxidermy, bones, horror-movie regalia, and other things we can’t possibly predict. Grab tickets here.
