It’s National Sugar Cookie Day (as if you didn’t know), and two Kansas City cookie shops have deals to help you celebrate.
Cookie Bliss KC
Cookie Bliss KC focuses solely on sugar cookies, and by golly, they’re beautiful.
Karissa Todd started the business on a family recipe in 2018, and today, she sells her soft, buttercream-topped concoctions at her Northland storefront and delivers them far and wide.
Today, the first 100 people in the storefront on Northeast Vivion Road get a Blissful Bite (a bite-sized frosted sugar cookie) on the house. They can enter to win a dozen free big-kid cookies, too, and they’ll get 10 percent off all orders placed today. That discount applies to online orders, as well.
Cookie Bliss KC opens at 9 a.m. today. Though it’s normally open Wednesday to Friday (9 to 5 p.m.) and Saturday (9 to 2 p.m.), it’s closing for vacation July 10-16.
Eileen’s Colossal Cookies
Eileen’s Colossal Cookies is a multi-state franchise with one location in Kansas City—also in the Northland.
Pop into the shop on Barry Road for a buy-one-get-one deal on three-inch Christmas sugar cookies. (Don’t worry, they weren’t made back in December. It’s Christmas in July.)
The shop is open from 8 to 5:30 p.m. during the week and 8 to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
