Pumpkin Spice Lattes in Kansas City

Two whipped-cream-topped pumpkin spice lattes on a board

Do you smell it? Do you feel it? Before long, the leaves will be crackling and the colors will be dazzling. In fact, Kansas City cafes are already peddling the warm, sacred sauce of the season that is the pumpkin spice latte. Why not take a pumpkin spice tour through the metro?

Note: Some cafes offer pumpkin spice lattes, others pumpkin pie lattes. Maybe there’s a difference, but we all know what’s up. We included a couple of cold brews and a mocha in this list, too.

Also, for a few of these, we should thank the folks in this Reddit thread. A guy’s girl was craving pumpkin spice, and people dropped the goods.

Parkville Coffee

This Northland coffee shop is cozy any time of year, but it’s even cozier now that it’s serving pumpkin pie lattes and pumpkin chai. Both Parkville Coffee treats are $4.93.

Anchor Island Coffee

Anchor Island Coffee is another place doing us the service of providing a pumpkin spice latte ($5-6) and a pumpkin spice chai ($5.50-6.50). Find them on the corner of East 41st Street and Troost Avenue.

Pilgrim Coffeehouse

Pilgrim Coffeehouse brought its Pacific Northwest vibes to Beacon Hill last spring. It’s adorable—it serves coffee out of an indoor Airstream, for gosh sakes—and it has pumpkin pie lattes for around $5.75, depending on the size.

Urban Prairie Coffee

It’s still pretty warm outside, so why not a cool seasonal drink? Head to Mission and pop into Urban Prairie Coffee for a pumpkin cream cold brew. It’s $5.15-6.35, depending on the size.

Rebel Coffee

Rebel Coffee is fairly new to the scene—they opened last November—but they know what we want: a pumpkin spice latte for $5.60.

Gusto! Coffee Shop

Gusto is in Parkville and Lee’s Summit, and both locations have a pumpkin spice and white chocolate mocha. Hoo boy. It’s $4.00-5.85.

Sway Coffee Roasters

You can find Sway Coffee Roasters in every McClain’s Bakery—so that’s in Waldo, Overland Park, Shawnee, and even Lawrence. Every one of them has a pumpkin spice cold-foam cold brew. The 20-ouncer is $6.50.

Jinkies! Coffee and Hangout

Jinkies! has so many great fall flavors. Its seasonal menu has so many fun brews (really, you should check it out) and, of course, the lattes you came for: Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice (pumpkin spice and toasted marshmallow with orange drizzle) and the Goo-Goo Muck (pumpkin spice cookie butter). Get them in a flight of four drinks for $15.
