Interactive Art Show by Sage Barnes
August 6, 2021 @ 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM CDT
Kansas City-based artist, Sage Barnes, unveils a new art experience with a free, interactive art show on Friday, August, 6th from 7 – 10 p.m at 1827 McGee St in the Crossroads. The one night-only exhibition will feature six pieces, displayed on a custom 8-foot display, from Barnes’ upcoming solo show in New York City. The interactive piece will feature a 10-foot canvas covered wall where attendees will have the chance to throw a plaster head filled with paint, creating its own painting as the night goes on. Attendees will be able to choose their color based on their emotion, i.e yellow if they’re happy.
“Show and Tell focuses on human action, acting on ideas and expressing how we actually feel. Being more accepting of what we’re going through and expressing it,” says artist, Sage Barnes. “I think we’re all going through our own battles, so hopefully, this is a fun outlet and a good chance to look at some art at the same time.”
Sage has had his art featured in shows in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, London, and other cities but this will be his first full show in Kansas City. “This show has been in the works for over a year but I’m excited that Kansas City will get to see this first,” says Barnes.
