This Weekend in Kansas City: April 4-6

We’re in for big-city vibes this weekend, Kansas City. Marquee sports matchups, a cultural festival, musical theater, and somehow more.

(Oh, and before we get into it: As we reported on social media, the City Market farmers market will be open on Saturdays and Sundays starting this weekend. At last!)

Sports in KC

Baltimore Orioles vs. Kansas City Royals
April 4-6

The Orioles are here with chips on their wings. The Royals ended their World Series hopes last season with a two-game Wild Card sweep on the road; now they’re showing up at our doorstep looking to get those wins back. Which bird is best?

Each game has great promotions. Friday is Bark at the Park night, Saturday gives the first 10,000 fans a T-shirt, and Sunday gives the first 15,000 a Vinny Pasquantino bobblehead. Buy tickets here.

Sporting Kansas City vs. St. Louis City SC
April 5

There’s always electricity when cross-state rivals come to Kansas City. St. Louis City SC is off to a 2-2-2 start, and Sporting KC is clawing for its first win, but with rivalry games, pride often supersedes records. Grab tickets online, and buy them in the Cauldron if you want to be in the center of the energy.
