Welcome, friends. It’s 2025. Another year for Kansas City to assert itself as the beating heart of the heartland—and it really gets pumping this weekend.

New Years Stampede Rodeo
Jan. 3-4

If you’re looking for a wild start to 2025, head to Hale Arena for the New Years Stampede Rodeo. At 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, there’ll be full rodeo performances that include steer wrestling, bucking broncos, full-on bull riding, and more.

General admission tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for kids.

River Market Flea opening day

We’re psyched for opening day at River Market Flea tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It’s back in The City Market until Feb. 22, and it’s all vintage and retro wear on the racks. A deep freeze awaits us, so why not ride it out in a vintage Chiefs coat?

Crafting Your Year! A Vision Board Party
Jan. 4

Now is a great time to slow down, think about where you are, and set your intentions. Saturday morning at 10, ArtsKC is hosting a free vision board workshop. If you’re new to the craft, don’t worry—they’ll walk you through the process. If you’re a vision board veteran, you can show up and get right to it.
