Cozy Up on a Comfy Sofa

It’s January, and if you’re not in bed, the coziest spot in your home is a comfy sofa, with plenty of pillows and a throw or two to curl up in. Check out some of these inspirations.

Delectably Delicious

Brown is a trending color in fashion and in home décor, too. A deep-seated Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams (we miss them!) sofa is slipcovered in deep-chocolate velvet with down-stuffed loose-back pillows and throw pillows in purple silk and a colorful ikat fabric.

Lean In

A high-back Knole sofa, one of the first actually comfortable seating options (mid-17th-century design), can be identified by the hinged sides tied to wooden finials. It is so luxe and cozy that even in a formal living room, such as this one by interior designer Stephanie Stroud, guests can lean back and relax.

Side By Side

Technically, not a sofa. But a pair of chaise longues might be even better. In the former home of serial renovators Adam Kincaid and Michael Noonan, two chaises from RH upholstered in black velvet accompanied by all the appropriate throws and pillows are the perfect spot to put up their feet and watch TV.
