This weekend, a sea of red will be visible in New Orleans at the Superdome Stadium. It’s Kansas City’s color of choice during football season. Red also makes a statement in a colorful home interior. Here are a few of our favorite interiors that incorporate that lively hue.
On the Bright Side
Red is on repeat in this Fairway home by the Trapp and Company director of interior design, Daniel Houk. From the sofa to the chair backs, to the bold stripes on the wing chairs, even to the books, red pops up everywhere.
Sit On It
In the home of artist Tom Corbin and his wife, Susie, orangey-red stained-wood dining chairs by Dakota Jackson surround an antique farm table in the dining room.
Red Hot
According to interior designer John Rufenacht, who employs it frequently, red is a neutral. And it’s a color you’ll find in any of the interiors of his own homes, including this Brookside cottage primary bedroom. Walls are painted SW Radish, “My favorite shade of red,” he says.
