Any oenophile would be thrilled to have one of these capacious wine cellars in their own home to store, display, and share their favorite wines. Although located on the lower level of the homes, these custom-designed spaces don’t say basement, they say a passionate wine connoisseur lives here.
Artful Display
Homeowners Kevin Westrope and Jason Holmes worked with Generator Studio to design a contemporary home that reflected their interests in art and wine. In the lower level, a casual seating area backs up to a stunning climate-controlled display of their treasured collection. A contemporary wool and silk rug from the Knotty Rug Co. softens the concrete floors.
Wine Spectator
Designer Amy Thurston created a wine cellar that allows wine tastings within its cool confines or at the bar on the lower level of this Cedar Creek home. The homeowners’ own Oregon vineyard is represented by the winery’s logo etched on the glass door.
