Boulevard Brewing is committed to local philanthropy, aiding hundreds of local and regional groups a year through sponsorship, partnership, and other promotional means. The trend continues this month as they team up with Kansas City Pride Community Alliance to support the LGBTQ+ community.
“We are so thankful for local partnerships like this one, as it helps us celebrate our community through intentional collaboration for collective impact,” says the KCPCA president, Star Palmer, in a press release. Donations from sales made through Boulevard’s Community Crowler program will benefit the group, as will purchases of their Pride Month rainbow logo T-shirt. While the Boulevard gift shop always features local makers, its June selection will highlight local LGBTQ+ businesses, such as Bear Soap Co., Untamed Supply, and Kevin Garrison.
Pints for Pride, a free bingo event on June 28, will donate one dollar from every pour sold during the event. “While we celebrate the LGBTQ+ members of our community in various ways throughout the year, having a spotlight on them during Pride Month is important,” says Amber Ayres, director of consumer experience at Boulevard Brewing.
