Boulevardia Makes Comeback with Winter Pop-Up and Summer 2022 Festival

After spending two years with a Boulevardia-shaped hole in our hearts, one of our favorite Kansas City festivals is making a comeback—and sooner than you’d expect.

While we’ll have to wait until next summer for the festival we know and love, a smaller pop-up version is decking the halls for one day only this holiday season. Tonight, head over to Boulevard Brewing Co.’s Beer Hall in the Tours and Rec Center at 5 p.m. for Boulevardia Winter Pop-Up.

You’ll get a taste of Boulevardia to hold you over until summer 2022 with live music from Unfit Wives, drink specials, giveaways, exclusive Bouldevardia merch, and a few surprises in-between. (Hint: you might want to show up early, the first 40 guests get a free limited edition Boulevardia Stocking Cap if you follow the festival on social or subscribe to its email list.)

Then, mark your calendar for June 17-18, 2022. Our city’s beloved urban street festival will return for its seventh year. The 2022 festival will be on Grand Boulevard, and throughout Crown Center and Washington Square Park. You’ll see old favorites like the Ferris wheel, silent disco, local makers market, and of course, live music and lots of beer, but there will be new experiences too.

“After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, we are excited to bring Boulevardia back bigger and better than ever,” says Trever Frickey, Boulevardia president. “We look forward to finally sharing our vision for the festival in its new location on Grand Boulevard and are eager to bring a fresh new flavor of Boulevardia to this venue.”

Boulevardia’s organizers are planning a music lineup with local, regional, and national acts, as well as inviting select restaurants and craft breweries to participate in the Taps & Tastes event—we can’t wait!

Discounted weekend passes go on sale on December 15 for 48 hours, along with hotel packages at The Sheraton and The Westin hotels. All tickets will go on sale in early 2022.
