Kansas City doesn’t limit its fireworks to the Fourth of July. July 3 is loaded with great displays, too, and you can even catch some on the 5th and beyond. To help you plan, we did a day-by-day breakdown of the action.
Most of the following fireworks displays begin in the 9 o’clock hour. Times listed are when the day’s festivities start—think food trucks, live music, even kite shows. Click the links for more details.

July 3
Missouri
- Fireworks and Drone Show Spectacular: Kauffman Stadium, Kansas City; after 7:10 p.m. game
- Fireworks Celebration: Kearney Amphitheater, Kearney; 5 p.m.
- Legacy Blast: Legacy Park, Lee’s Summit; 6 p.m.
- Liberty Fest: Capitol Federal Sports Complex, Liberty; 6 p.m.*
- Red, White & Blue Springs: Blue Streets South High School and Young Park, Blue Springs; 3 p.m.
*Technically, Liberty Fest charges a mandatory parking fee, which must be paid in advance at the Liberty Area Chamber of Commerce.
Kansas
