If you’re one to go out on New Year’s Eve, Kansas City has no shortage of options for you. Ring it in your way with one of the following New Year’s Eve parties.

1. Black Party XX at The Truman

The Black Party’s been going strong for 20 years running. Head to The Truman for DJs, drinks, dancing, a balloon drop, and hours of partying. Tickets start at $75 for individuals or $65 per individual for groups of four or more. Higher ticket tiers get you access to a private balcony and bar.

2. Fire & Ice New Year’s Eve Masquerade at J. Rieger & Co.

This one’s pricier—tickets start at $165—but it includes all-you-can-eat buffets, unlimited drinks, live music, and roaming entertainment. Everyone will have access to the Monogram Lounge, Atrium, Tasting Room, and two buffets, and higher tiers get you into additional bars within the distillery.

3. New Year’s Eve at KC Live!

Grab a ticket to New Year’s Eve at KC Live! and ring in 2025 with DJ James Kennedy of Vanderpump Rules fame. Tickets start at $80, and depending on the package, you can get access to 11 venues, unlimited drink packages, food stations, and even a red carpet entrance.

4. New Year’s Eve at Kelly’s Westport Inn

This one’s good for night owls and early birds. Kelly’s Westport Inn celebrates the New Year twice—once at midnight Ireland time, or 6 p.m. our time, and another at midnight our time. The first celebration is free, and the second starts at 9 p.m. and has a $10 cover. But the DJ and the champagne will be there all night.

5. New Year’s Eve at The Bird

Spend the last night of 2024 at The Bird Comedy Theater to enjoy laughs and libations. The year’s best acts will be back in the house, and there’ll be a toast at midnight. You get a glass of champagne with your ticket, which is $25.

6. New Year’s Eve at The Temple XV

For over a decade, the Kansas City Scottish Rite Temple has been a bonanza of bubbly on New Year’s Eve. Tickets to New Year’s Eve at The Temple XV range from $69 to $115, and they land you several open bars, live DJs, and party areas.

7. New Year’s Eve at the Uptown

New Year’s Eve at the Uptown will make full use of the theater space. The main stage will host a drag show complete with a video wall and lasers, DJ Rico will keep the Encore room jumping, the Valentine room will be a craft beer haven, and the mezzanine will be the same for margaritas. In all, there’ll be five open bars. Tickets are $70 in advance and $85 day of.

8. New Year’s Eve XXV (Crossroads Hotel)

Head to the Crossroads Hotel—or, for one night only, the Neon Coliseum—for New Year’s Eve XXV. You can dress futuristically, in styles from ancient history to cutting edge, or mix the two. Expect EDM, performances by Quixotic, and high-quality food and drink with your $185 ticket.

9. Zoo Year’s Eve

Late-night revelry not your speed? We feel you. Zoo Year’s Eve might be the party for you. For two hours on New Year’s Eve, some of the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium’s residents will receive New Year’s-themed enrichment, and you can witness it for the regular price of admission. The best part? It’s a countdown to noon, not midnight.
