That’s right—Christmas music is coming early this year. The Soul of Santa “Do Good Foundation” presents a night of Christmas karaoke to celebrate the release of their Christmas album, featuring performances by Kansas City gospel legend Andréa Tribbit, Sean Tyler, Roblo da Star, and The Royal Chief.
The Soul of Santa began in 2019 with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony and has since expanded into other holiday events offering year-round support for individuals with disabilities, including holistic workforce development plans, food, transportation, clothing, and financial literacy. “The Soul of Santa ‘Do Good’ Foundation seeks to create a world where no one ever feels forgotten or overlooked due to their disability,” says Tucker Lott, president and founder of Tucker Lott Cards, LLC and the founder and creator of The Soul of Santa Brand. “It is our soul brand purpose for each and every person to feel love, joy, and acceptance.”
The compilation album was inspired by Lott’s late daughter Aria Lott, who lived with epilepsy. She has six songs featured on the album, all produced by Grammy-nominated producer Jo Blaq. The album combines Kansas City’s jazz roots with its contemporary hip-hop and R&B talent, mixing original music with holiday covers, all executive produced by Shawn Edwards. The album will be the first-ever soundtrack for two Christmas tree lighting ceremonies taking place on Friday, December 1, in the 18th and Vine Jazz District and on Friday, December 8, at the Shops of Blue Parkway.
Karaoke and the listening party will be at The Blue Room on Thursday, November 2, with the album released the following day.
