Let’s face it—most of us are always on the go, and time for ourselves can be a scarcity. Jewish Family Services pivoted its mental health team to offer virtual services and support to the community, including a weekly mindfulness session every Monday from 11:30 a.m. to noon. If you’re looking to squeeze in a little self-care on your lunch break, this is the perfect opportunity.
Each session is led by therapist Julia Billquist, LMLP, and registration is free. Busy minds can benefit from regular mindfulness practice, and research has shown an impact on cognitive ability, a reduction in stress, anxiety, and depression, and an increased sense of well-being in people who practice regular mindfulness exercises.
