It’s the height of summer, and everyone loves a sun-kissed glow. No matter how much we soaked up the sun’s rays in our youth, we know better now, right? Right?! And we all know that tanning beds are verboten, too. Your skin will thank you with fewer wrinkles and age spots and less skin cancer as you age. So, until the pale visage of Victorian England is fashionable again, what’s the best way to get the look?
There’s a myriad of products to bronze you up, but don’t forget prep. Exfoliate first, whether with a chemical—either AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) or BHA (beta hydroxy acid)—or physical—granules (scrubs), brushes, or buffing pads. Moisturize before any application, too.
Lastly, and most importantly, wear sunscreen!
