If your September issue of Vogue is a little dog-eared at this point in the month, there’s fresh fashion available this weekend! Kansas City Fashion Week comes to a close with runway shows on Friday and Saturday evenings.
The shows—held outside in the East parking garage at Oak Park Mall to provide a COVID-safe experience—will feature local, national, and international designers showing their latest couture and ready-to-wear collections. While Friday evening’s show is sold out, there are still tickets available for Saturday’s closing show.
The Saturday show will feature collections from Project Runway alum Joshua J Chris, Nashville staples Laura Citron and Any Old Iron (he’s dressed Lady Gaga and Beyoncé), Army veteran Duane Topping, showstopping formal wear by the House of Pamela Renee, and the modern minimalist designs of Architexture Collaboration. With model direction by runway star Noelle Manica, the show will display the firepower of independent designers and the raw talent of Kansas City models. Get your tickets at KCFashionWeek.com.
