A Family-Friendly Welcome
The holidays are a great time to connect with family and continue traditions, and Park Place is the perfect spot to create new memories and unforgettable moments. Their holiday season premieres on November 18 with the 11:00 a.m. arrival of Santa Claus and special guest, the Grinch. Kids will love taking to the ice rink with the beloved green Grinch for his one-day-only appearance from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., though the ice rink will be open daily through March 3. Santa will be available for photos until 4:00 p.m., but don’t you worry—he’ll be back every Saturday until Christmas. Stroll around Park Place and drink in the sights and sounds of holiday decor as you explore the different options for dining, shopping, and more.
Drink and Be Merry
For the over 21 crowd, Park Place has curated a Holiday Crawl to help you shop small—supporting local businesses has never been so festive. From 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on November 25, delight in one of two drinking journeys, either “It’s a Wine-derful Life” tasting tour with eight handpicked wines, or the “Holiday Cheer with Beer” selection of eight craft brews. Snacks, surprises, and specials at the Park Place Village shops round out this seasonal spectacular event, including some tasty (and non-alcoholic) treats. Plus, all the proceeds from ticket sales benefit Children’s Mercy Hospital. What better way to spread a little Christmas cheer this year? Make sure to pre-purchase your $20 ticket as this tour will sell out fast!
Find the Perfect Gift
Time is running out to find the perfect holiday gifts for your loved ones, but you’re in luck—Park Place has an incredible selection of retail stores and services. Seven new and local businesses have opened at Park Place just this past year. Display some Kansas City pride with locally made apparel, hats, and leather goods from Sandlot Goods, or look through the newly open Lalli’s Boutique, a modern boho women’s apparel store owned by Susan Hatten, a local Leawood grandmother. Bruú Café is a must-stop for boba tea lovers, and you’ll want to come back for the openings of Aixois, a French bistro, and Aqua Penny’s, a coastal seafood house and oyster bar, both set for early 2024.
Holidays at Park Place are everything you want them to be—approachable, easy, and fun. Journey through this one-stop center for everything you need this season, to the tunes sung by the Dickens carolers every Saturday and surrounded by marvelous holiday decor. Let Park Place fulfill all your Christmas and holiday season wishes and revel in the joy of the season.
