December Staff Picks: KC Holiday Wishlist

Our team spends a lot of time at Kansas City businesses, and by year’s end, we have a mountain of just-in-KC products we want for the holidays. If you’re having a hard time filling your own list, pull from ours.

Bedding from Terrasi Living & Scandia Home

As an adult, Christmas wishes shift from toys and gadgets to things that truly enhance our everyday lives. This year, I’m dreaming of a luxury bedding set from Terrasi Living & Scandia Home. Their elegant designs and premium materials would make my bedroom feel like a five-star retreat, a daily reminder that self-care is worth every penny. Sometimes the best gift is creating a space that feels like home.

I don’t treat myself that often, but I’d love any type of massage or facial at any of these fantastic spas in Kansas City: Bijin Salon, Sojourn, and The Grove Spa. All locally owned and female owned, I might just have to try all three and report back.

Diamond earrings on a black background

I really want all my boys to be home for the holidays, but since I probably won’t get that, diamond earrings from a local jewelry store (hint: Tivol, Mazzarese, or Meierottos Jewelers) might make me feel a little better.

Go to a Chiefs game in the cold, and you’ll see about 15 old Chiefs coats that make you want to bargain with the owner right there in the stadium. I’m hoping to get a retro Chiefs coat of my own, and I know Thrifted Threadzzzz in Westport has an awesome collection.

The KC Spa, a Victorian home in the snow

I’m hoping Santa brings me a HydraFacial from The KC Spa this holiday season—and if I’ve been really good this year, a Swedish massage, too! Nestled in downtown Platte City, a cute Northland town, this Victorian home turned spa has all the charm. The welcoming and tranquil atmosphere coupled with the personalized care of each service keeps me coming back. It’s really a unique experience and easy to spend a whole day here.

Poster for Tyler, the Creator's Chromakopia tour

For Christmas I am wanting Tyler, The Creator concert tickets for his show at the T-Mobile Center. His world tour will stop in KC in early February for his newly released album Chromakopia. I have never seen him live and his new album has become one of my favorites, it would be amazing to hear it live. Concerts are one of my favorite pastimes and Tyler, The Creator is one of my favorite artists, so it’s a perfect fit!
